Elliott at 2

Elliott had his two year well check at the doctor, and although he started out the smallest (6lb 5oz) he is now the biggest two year old we've had.  He got checked over by our doctor and a medical student and had to get one shot.  He has a clean bill of health and his growth stats are:
Height: 35"  64%
Weight: 25lb 2oz 30%

Waiting room at the doctor's office
We got the "math room"

Elliott has lots of words, but he is pretty hard to understand.  I've noticed that he can't pronounce the "T" sound in words, which leads to lots of "broken record talking".  He's trying to get his point across and we just aren't getting it, so he repeats it over and over and over and over again.  He imitates everything, even trying to stand like his Daddy.  He is more of a Daddy's boy than the other two were.  He likes to color and do crafts more than his brothers ever have.  He likes to point out bugs...often calling them all bees.  We walk to the school bus, sometimes up to three times a day (morning, mid-day kindergarten and after school) and he loves to wave to the bus.  Elliott loves balls and is quite good at kicking a soccer ball down a field.  Elliott can really jump, holding his own on the trampoline and sometimes on the ground with a jump rope (he doesn't actually jump rope, just holds it while he is jumping).  He is afraid of thistle down, when it blows toward him or when someone holds out a piece to him.  He doesn't try to climb out of his crib yet and usually goes to bed around 7:30 and gets up around 7:00.  He takes a nap after lunch and usually sleeps for 1.5 hours.  He loves to eat grapes, but isn't too picky and seems to be my best overall eater.  His best friend at daycare is Ellie and for the last couple months he runs to her when we get there and hardly has a goodbye for me.  He is terrified of the lawnmower.  He always points out airplanes and helicopters in the sky.

Elliott loves to swing, the new swing set has been great!

Wow 5 goals! Great pictures from the time at the Power Company. Curious about which Charlie and the Chocolate Factory you watched. And yes, Emmett is growing up and loves those tools! Hope there aren't any more injuries! Interesting cake choice. Ezra has always had that grin of a trickster:) Grandma T

OOps, that comment was supposed to go with the previous blog! Elliott is a wonderful 2 year old! The doctor's office is so cool- and it's great to know that he's a daddy's boy. And a good eater and has Ellie as a best friend. There are great things in store for him!
