June Wrap-Up

We got back from Oregon and hit the ground running.  I worked an extra day each week to fill-in for vacations and maternity leaves, and we continued trying to work on our house when we could.  We also tried to make the most of our beautiful summer weather.  Ezra got his own RC boat with a gift card from Christmas and he and Jim really enjoyed driving their boats in various bodies of water.  Elliott would often want a short turn and then play or ride his bike around them.  Elliott was firmly set on not riding a bike with pedals and just sticking with the strider bike, but after moving him from the smallest pedal bike option to the next one up and doing some extra practice he was riding his pedal bike AND enjoying it.

Jim had the boys a couple days that I worked and found lots of fun things to do.  One day they saw some BMW street racing cars giving rides at a dealership and they went and watched and got a ride.

We went to Jim's work picnic for the first time in a couple years...we had missed a couple from being out of town.  They make it very fun for families.  There were various types of bounce house including a human Foosball game, a mechanical bull, balloon artists, face painting, and of course food.  There was also a station to write encouraging cards to Navy sailors.  They also give passes to the zoo, which is also in the park.

On my days off I took the boys to lots of different parks that had walking paths and they would do a few laps with me on their bikes and then play while I continued to walk, attempting to get some exercise.
