Sunday we went to church with my parents. They started attending a new church so it was fun for us to visit a new church. In the afternoon we went to Jim's parents and I got to celebrate my birthday again :-)
Even though I was pretty sure what Jim had gotten me, I had told him not to worry about bringing presents on the trip. He packs the car, so he surprised me and brought my gifts along.
Beth, Winn, and Audrey came over too, as well as Grandma K. It was nice to have time with all of them. We got some super cute pictures of the cousins as you can see if you crane your neck to the side.
The motorcycle got brought out. Emmett really wanted to ride it but he was also nervous (love that cautious child!). They started out by sandwiching him between Jim and his dad and by the end he was freestyling it on the back.
Of course we had to do the zipline too. Emmett went clear to the top and held the branch until he was ready to go.
Ezra wasn't about to be left out and this daredevil child loved it.
On Monday we went up to Salem to spend more time with Beth, Winn and Audrey and we took Mikaylee with us. We started at the outlet mall and found some good deals. We didn't stick around too long since we had all the kids with us, but long enough to get hungry and go grab some lunch. Then we went to the carousel and a playground. We rode the carousel 3 times which was plenty. Winn and Audrey were pretty good at grabbing rings and both got the brass ring (and a free ride). The little ones were starting to be in desperate need of a nap, so we parted ways and headed back to my parents place.
Emmett got to go to the "train park" after dinner, Ezra and I stayed behind so he could have an early night to bed. Emmett apparently was super brave and went all the way to the top of the train.
