We are alive and thriving here in our cold and snowy winter. We have had snow on the ground consistently all winter long...just as we think it will all be melted by the end of the week, we get another storm. I love it, it hasn't been bad to drive in and if we have cold weather there might as well be snow! Here are some random pictures of the last 2 months or so:
| Sledding in our neighborhood |
| This day we barely got above zero, but the lack of wind and sunshine made sledding possible. |
| See the phrase "warming rapidly to -11 to -15". That's our heat wave! |
| One of Emmett's Christmas gifts is a big hit with both boys...thanks Aunt Mikaylee and Uncle Mark! |
| The boys were watching as a front loader cleared our driveway after a storm (our car is across the street because we couldn't get into the driveway). I missed the shot with the front loader, but Jim is out finishing the job. |
| Emmett took swim lessons 2 nights a week for 4 weeks. He can't wait to do it again! |
| We went to a super bowl party at our childrens pastor's house. He has older kids that are into legos and knights and Emmett LOVED it. He is wondering when we can go to the next super bowl party. |
| Ezra got to ski! We went sledding at the park and brought the skis along. After Emmett took a couple runs Ezra wanted to go too. He was so excited and worked really hard to balance. |
| Ezra kept saying "ski, ski" so Jim too him skiing the next day too. |
Playing "Mommy at work". I love this Playmobil set that my Aunt Andrea and cousins Liam and Finley gave me when I was in college. Emmett loves to play with it now...we have lots of "emergency ultrasounds."

So that is what we've been up to. Emmett was so sad when swimming ended, he couldn't wait to start another activity. So now we are doing a basketball class for 3-5 year olds that introduces them to the skills and game. The offer these "smart start" classes in basketball, baseball, soccer, and golf...so it will be a very fun spring and summer as we work through them one at a time (luckily just once a week). Emmett has been skiing a few times and got to ride his first chairlift, which he loved. Ezra is talking more and more and starting to try to sing songs. He is more daring than his brother and does well with lots of structure. He will sit and color longer than Emmett did at this age and he loves to help...so if you can keep up with giving him jobs he can actually get some things done (taking things to the recycling, clothes to the laundry, toys in bins, putting silverware away).

LOVE the Playmobile set! I didn't know something like that even existed. So cool!
