Fun Four Day Weekend and Soccer Wrap-Up

All three boys are doing so good in school and enjoyed a 4 day weekend to sleep in and have a good break (no Friday online work).  We started it out on Wednesday night with two soccer games (Emmett and Ezra), getting fast food for dinner and going to a drive in movie that was a school fundraiser.  This was sponsored by the PTO and Emmett and I helped hand out concessions.  The movie was the Lego Movie and the boys had a good time at their first real drive-in movie.

Our nephew Winn and his roommate Zeke also came for the weekend.  They are in college about 4 hours away and we were pretty excited to spend some time with them.  They got into town Friday evening just in time to watch Emmett's soccer game.  Afterwards we came home and grilled some hamburgers for a late dinner.  The kids had so much fun playing with Winn and Zeke.  Saturday morning Elliott had a soccer game.  There was also a Manchester City game on TV.  Jim, Winn, and I went to a grand opening for a new sporting goods store and played cornhole for some prizes.  In the afternoon Ezra and Elliott did their last soccer practice with some coaches from the UK.  They have had some great instruction from them this season.  Emmett had another game Saturday evening and their team had their first win.  It's been a rough season, but not all bad.  After the game we had another late dinner and finally had chocolate cream pie that Ezra has been begging for.  Winn and Zeke came with us to church and got to hang out until late afternoon before heading back to school.

We just have a few more soccer games and we are starting to overlap with our late Falls season which will have Emmett and Ezra playing indoor soccer and Elliott trying out basketball.

Elliott's team, the Fire Lizards

Ezra's team, the Sharks

Emmett's team, Eagle Rock
