October Conclusion

Lots to update on the blog, but we better conclude October first.  We've lived in Idaho for about 16 years now and we finally grew some potatoes.  I had some red potatoes that were soft and sprouting that I was going to throw out.  Jim decided to plant them and they actually yielded pretty good results.
Jim has been keeping an eye out for a late model Subaru Forester with a manual transmission.  We had our eye on one last year that we decided against because it just didn't feel quite right.  When this one came up for sale in Salt Lake City everything lined up right and we went down to look at it and ended up buying it.  It is a 2018 and fun to have a newer manual vehicle.  It is our 5th Subaru and we currently own 3 Subarus!  We are holding on to our Outback...maybe Emmett can drive it in a few years.
We needed to take the whole family down so that we would have 2 drivers if we bought it, and we were looking for something fun to do that didn't require advanced reservations.  With COVID going on, that was a little tricky, but we ended up getting In-N-Out for lunch and going to the Hill Air Force Base Museum and had a good time looking around.

Ezra built a Haunted House for school.  It is a 4th grade project that they do as part of their electrical circuit unit and they light them up for the school to see.
We didn't go to a pumpkin patch this year, but I did get pumpkins and we carved them and roasted the seeds.  Ezra played in a 3v3 soccer tournament with a friend and their team won the tournament!  It was a fundraiser for a local soccer organization and we got dinner there and did a trunk-or-treat.
Our church also hosted a trunk-or-treat.  Each car was decorated in a theme, and we did a soccer theme.
