May continued with our busy schedule. Ezra does a pull-out program one day a week for gifted and talented kids. They did a big group project where they made a company which designed and marketed a toy. His group was called ICE and made a mystery box. They had a presentation night where all the groups showed off their hard work. This year they also spent a lot of time learning about the stock market.
Emmett's team did a tournament in Pocatello. Emmett only played about 5 minutes of the whole thing because of his injured foot. He dressed down for each game and was a great cheerleader for his team. He also side reffed a couple games down there. His foot was starting to get better, but as soon as he sprinted it would really hurt. His team made it to the final game, which tied 0-0. They went into extra time which also tied 0-0. They went into a PK shoot-out and lost on the 6th shot. They were pretty disappointed to not win, but it was definitely exciting.

On Mother's Day we brought home a new family member. Jim and I had been talking about a dog for quite a while, but it was hard to wrap our minds around all that responsibility. Jim was randomly looking at ads for puppies and found some pretty cute ones not too far away. They are "goldadors"...half golden retriever and half labrador retriever. I drove up to meet them while the kids were in school and liked them, so Jim and I both went up on Sunday and brought home the runt of the litter. They boys were completely surprised with it and couldn't have been happier.

We wanted a boy dog and there were 3 to choose from. I hadn't even really considered the runt, but his personality won us over. He was used to being handled a lot and had an annoying penchant for untying shoes.
Winn came to stay with us the next weekend and got to get in on all the new puppy fun and a soccer tournament as well. Emmett's team played in the tournament and Ezra was invited to play for a different U11 team just for the tournament. Both of their teams face tough opponents and some extreme wind, but still had fun.
Elliott played on a fun soccer team with the same coach from last Fall, a family we have gotten to know at church and got to ski with during the winter. He also had our Youth Pastor's son on his team, so it was fun to have three families from our church.

All the while we were trying to be home as much as possible with Everest. The vet said it wasn't a good idea to take him out much until he was fully vaccinated, and that felt like it took forever!
I have been helping in Elliott's classroom all year and have gotten to know each of them a little bit as I have one-on-one time with each kid for a few minutes each time. I got to help with a walking field trip to the zoo and also with field day on the last day of school.

We were really proud of all three boys and how they did in school this year. Emmett and Ezra both finished with all A's (and A+'s) and Elliott got the highest number grades in each of his subjects. The bank gives them a $5 deposit for a good report card and they got coins from the coin shop for their Coins for Grades program. We decided to take each of them on a date without their brothers to the restaurant of their choice. Elliott chose Pizza Pie Cafe and Ezra chose Chuck-A-Rama. Emmett hasn't been on his date yet, and is having a tough time narrowing down his choices. Hopefully we can go this next week.
