Water Park and Carousel

Last Tuesday we went up to a park that has a nice splash pad and carousel with some friends.  We went in the morning and played on the playground first.  The splash pad starts at 10am and the boys were eager to get wet, even though it was threatening to rain.  The temperature was forecasted to be in the 90s that day, but the overcast skies kept it feeling fairly cool.

Emmett was determined to go down both slides this time (the yellow tube one and the red one), he usually chickens out.  We had the place almost to ourselves for the first while and the water stops after 20 or 30 minutes.  Someone has to press the button to keep it going.  After the first "session" I stood guard over the button so the kids could go explore a bit more without getting so wet.  So Emmett went down both slides while they were wet, but the water wasn't actively spraying.  A good compromise for a cautious kid.
After the kids were tired of playing they had lunch and dried off for a while.  Then we went back to the playground.  After the playground we rode the carousel.  I had an easier time taking pictures on the carousel, so there are lots.
