Disneyland Day 3

Another 6am wake up call.  Beth got us all in the same boarding group for Rise of the Resistance.  Originally we were going to be on our own, but when Beth found out that their flight wasn't until 9pm, they decided to spend most of the day at Disneyland with us.  We started out on our own while they got packed up and checked out of their hotel.  We headed straight to Star Wars Land and rode Millennium Falcon 3 times in a row, even getting to do the special "Chewie" mode, a hidden thing the ride operator can set up if they have extra time.  The boys got to try some RC droids under the Millennium Falcon and we saw Kylo Ren and 2 stormtroopers.

We met up with Beth, Winn, and Audrey in Toon Town.  We did Gadget's Go Coaster.  Our boarding group got called for Rise of the Resistance and it was so fun doing that all together.  We went back to Toon Town to do Roger Rabbit's Spin and Ezra, Winn, Audrey and I did the Matterhorn while the others did Astro Orbiter and Star Tours.  Then we got lunch at Jolly Holiday Bakery which was one of my favorite meals.  It seemed like one of the better values...Jim and Emmett had toasted cheese sandwiches with tomato soup, I had a roast beef sandwich, and Elliott and Ezra got breadsticks and fruit.

After lunch we rode the Disneyland railroad and then got Mickey beignets and mint juleps.  Then we went and checked out Tom Sawyer's Island.  Ezra lost his tooth and decided to leave a piece of himself at Disneyland forever and dropped his tooth in the Rivers of America.

Ezra and his tooth

Emmett, Winn, Audrey and I went and rode Indiana Jones Adventure.  While we did that Jim did Tarzan's Treehouse with Ezra and Elliott.

Ezra, Winn and Audrey and I decided to go do Space Mountain Single Rider again.  We rode it twice while the rest of the group did the Casey Jr. Train and King Arthur Carousel.  We met up and rode Buzz Lightyear Astroblasters all together.  At that point Beth and her kids had to head for the airport.  It was so fun doing the parks together, I'm so glad that it worked out!

We did Star Tours and then had dinner.  The guys had pizza and pasta from Alien Pizza Planet and I got a wrap from Galaxy Grill.  After Dinner we went rode the Mark Twain Riverboat.  Then we did Big Thunder Mountain Railroad twice in a row.  Then we went to find a place to watch fireworks.  We found a place by Jolly Holiday Bakery and left Jim and Elliott there with the stroller.  Ezra, Emmett and I went to see Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.  That building has a cool replica of the US Capitol building and we watched the show with the animatronic President Lincoln.  The fireworks started right as we came out and it was one of my favorite memories walking down Main Street with all the crowds watching the fireworks with the light projections on the buildings.  Because they make each side of Main Street one way during the fireworks and don't let you cross except specific spots, we had quite the walk around to get back to Jim.  We made it back to him right near the end of the fireworks.

After the fireworks we split up...Ezra and I rode Space Mountain in the single rider line a couple more times and Jim took the others to Pirates of the Caribbean.  We might have done Buzz Lightyear and Star Tours again too.  Disneyland closed and we had to leave.
