Great Trip, Day 2

On Sunday we went to church with my parents. Their service was mostly dedicated to sending off their pastor, Tinker, on a short term mission trip to Pakistan. Tinker is the pastor that married Jim and I. Pakistan sounds like a pretty scary place to be right now, however it sounds like many people are hungry and open to the message of the Gospel. After church we spent the early afternoon with my parents, Ryan and Mikaylee.

Later in the afternoon Jim, Emmett and I headed over to Jim's parent's for a tool shower for Jim's cousin Eric. Eric and Megan are getting married in July, which we will get to come back to Oregon for (that, and my HS reunion). We saw relatives from Jim's Mom's side and met Megan for the first time. Eric got some great tools and giftcards, I think a tool shower is a great thing for the groom-to-be. Emmett got to try out his new stroller/bike trailer after the shower. He seems to like it, but isn't too sure about the helmet.

On our way back to my parents that night we stopped in to see my dear friend from HS, Erica. She lives in Germany with her husband Martin, and they were in Oregon for a visit. We just barely caught them, they were headed back to Germany on Monday.
