We've been busy trying to enjoy the last bits of summer here. Today we went to the Eastern Idaho State Fair. Our good friends Jason and Richie joined us, as did most of the rest of this region's residents. It was crowded! We walked through the photography area, ate some yummy fair food, and saw the animals. Jim was a great pack mule, carrying around Emmett and all his stuff. Emmett's favorite part of the day was his balloon. While we were eating Tiger Ears (elephant ears for all you normal people), Emmett was mesmorized by watching some balloons. People were pointing at him going "look at that baby, he loves the balloons." A little girl, no doubt urged by her parents, came and gave Emmett her balloon. He spent the rest of our time at the fair playing with it. When we got back to the car Emmett was sad to part with his balloon but ready for a nap. He promptly took off his socks and fell asleep with one of them in his mouth.

I love the picture with the sock. So funny :)
How adorable is that! Such a cute story about the balloon & cute pictures, too. Glad you had such a good time.
